Toyo tyres are predominantly produced in Japan. However, they also have other global locations scattered across Europe and Asia where they manufacture their tyres. In addition to the Japanese headquarters in Osaka, Toyo’s manufacturing facilities can be found in Germany, Hungary, Thailand, Taiwan and China.
In Europe, Toyo Tyres have factories in both Germany and Hungary. The German factory is located in Neu-Ulm in the country’s southwest and is one of the most technologically advanced tyre production facilities globally. Meanwhile, the factory in Hungary is located near Szekesfehervar near Budapest and has been producing tyres for about 25 years.
The Asian plants are located mainly in Thailand and China, but there is also a plant in Taiwan. The facility at Bangna Thailand is one of the oldest sites, having opened its doors in 1985. Two further factories were opened over the years after that – one being a leisure tyre facility that started production in 2014. The next one opened up in a passenger car tyre manufacturing facility near Bangalore, India, which started production in 2018.
So there you have it – Toyo tyres are manufactured worldwide, but predominately in Japan!
