Pirelli Scorpions are a Vast Improvement
My original tyres were at end of life and exhibiting some negative traits like tracking and poor breaking performance particularly in the wet. The Pirelli Scorpion ATR special and have not disappointed. All weather performance is better than my original tyres even when they were new.

Early days, but so good so far!
These tyres feel and look tough, but maintain a sporty look to them. For A/T LT tyres, they sure are quiet! I can't fault them at all so far, and I don't expect that to change.

room for improvement
Great in dry weather. Tyres are durable with good grip and traction, and minimal wear. Not so good in wet weather. Minimal grip and I can feel the tyres sliding across the road surface, especially going uphill and around corners. Thought it was my driving but I slow to conditions. Also ensure tyres are at correct pressure. Would not purchase again as wet weather traction is the reason I purchased them in the first place.

Pirelli Scorpion ...
This was a set of four bought to replace the original factory fitted Bridgestones. These have a good reputation and it has been proven to be a good buy.

Hard to go past a Pirelli
Have been purchasing these Pirelli tyres for years and they never let me down. Always good drivability. Great wear, grip and steering combination, on and off road. Don't think I could find a better tyre so I continue to purchase these always

Perfect tyre
Had these tyre for a few years now, done many 1000s of hwy ks along with localbeach trips once a week for a fish and ocasional bush tracks. Very very happy with the tyres, no noise on hwy at all perform like street tyres but offroad i have never had a grip problem, super soft sand is no problem and wet tracks are fine. Never had in serious mud though so cant coment on that, its not a mud tyre. Def would by them again.

Excellent all rounder
I am very pleased with these tyres , I don't do extreme four wheel driving , so I wasn't after anything that had an aggressive tread , these tyres have proven to be just what I wanted , they have good grip , they wear well and they are not noisy on the bitumen , and have adequate grip off road ,I recommend them

So far so good
1 February 2016 Review on PIRELLI SCORPION ATR 265-70R16 Had them for about 10,000 clicks and am happy so far, they seem to wear pretty good, good in the wet, not bad on dirt, quiet on highway. So far we are happy. Will write again at 30,000 clicks to compare.

Will not put anything else on my 120 Prado!
Truly amazing tyre! For all of you who compare tyres based on mileage, think again. The true value of tyres is the safety - the situations it can get you out of. These Pirelli s can reduce the stopping distance from 100km/h by as much as 4 metres when compared to the likes of Coopers and Mickey T s. They also corner better and are significantly quieter. So unless you never drive on a bitumen public road, these are by far the safest tyre on the market right now. If you then take them off road, they perform in the top 3 of all disciplines (gravel, sand, mud, clay, etc), and actually win a couple as well. So unless you have the ability to fit a different set of tyres when your journey encounters sand, then a different set when you come across some mud, then a different set when you come across some gravel, then surely the best all round tyre makes the most sense. The argument about mileage is borderline ridiculous, as your wear will depend on so many variables of vehicle type, driving style, driving surfaces (local bitumen roads can all by quite different) town or country, city, tyre maintenance, ambient temperatures, etc. That being said, we all need some form of comparison so you can use the Treadwear Rating if the tyre is marketed in the USA. This is as close to a standard wear test you will get, so it can show which tyre may last longer. Cooper AT claim up to 90k, whereas the Scorpion ATR claims up to 70k. Shop around to get the best prices, then divide that by the claimed mileage. You will then see what the tyre costs per kilometre. I did this to work out that the Cooper s would have saved me about 1 cent per kilometre (and the Cooper warranty is not worth the paper it is written on) - so between hearing several reports of Cooper s failing (mostly sidewall or bead) and the far superior all-round performance of the Pirelli s - that was an easy 1 cent per kilometre to spend. They are super quiet, super sticky, and great off road.

GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I bought our 4x4 it had brigestone, ht, after 10,000 kms, got rid of them too slippery in the wet so I bought a full set of pirelli scorpion atr, well what a change in handling and in the wet they hung on as if the road was dry, on the sand very good[20psi] in the mud good.

Great performance but...
Fantastic performance when new fitted in my Pajero NT. Unfortunately after some 20.000 kms tread started to disintegrate. I ve done some 10-15% of gravel driving and towed a caravan. Always with correct pressures. One tyre damaged on the Gibb River Road - puncture of side wall. Overall not bad but I m looking for an alternative for my next set.

Excellent
I have now had three sets of new tyres on the same vehicle but this is the first time i have sprung for a top shelf tyre and to be quite honest they are going to be cheaper in the long run as the wear is fantastic but I do rotate the tyres every 5000km and pay particular attentiom to tyre pressues. So far we have 35000kms on these and they are less than half worn with even wear. All tyres are showing between 6.4 and 6.8mm tread depth left. So to pay more but get the extra wear makes them the same price as el cheapo's and then the higher performance and wet grip is like a free bonus. best regards pete

OK
I had a set of these tyres on my NM 2000 Pajero and got 40,000 kms mainly around town with some off road. I thought this wasn't too bad and when they needed replacing I got another set. I have done 12,000kms and they are almost at the wear indicators. When we spoke to Pirelli their rep was arrogant and blamed the wheel allignment. I had it checked and it was so close to perfect it wasn't funny. After heaps of back and forth Pirelli have now agreed that something isn't right so they are going to help me out with the next set! Problem is I'm not sure if I want another set now, left a funny taste in my mouth!
