So far so good
Purchased a set of 4 tyres in 225/65R17 size for 2011 Honda CR-V Sport At first I was apprehensive about the brand and its quality. There are only negative reviews out there on the internet but a close friend of mine (a car dealer) has been installing these tyres on cars he sells to friends and customers and none have complained about it so I thought I might take the plunge. At first glance, the tyres are well finished and don t appear to have any defects - i ve only driven on them for a couple of hundred kms and they feel good - solid. Compared to previous tyres - Bridgestone Dueler H/T 470 225/65R17 which I honestly found to be quite a hard tyre with lots of road noise and not much grip in the wet. Just like the Bridgestones, the Westlake tyres are rated for Mud & Snow and are designed for Highway and occasional off terrain driving. The tread depth is a good 8mm as opposed to the 7.5mm on the Bridgestones. Yes, these are Chinese tyres but what isn t made in China nowadays? I put trust in these based on reviews from people I trust. So far they ve been excellent on the wet roads. The road noise has been slightly lower than the Bridgestones, but that is probably true of any new tyre. The ratings on the sidewall are as follows:Treadwear: Westlake 500, Bridgestone 350 Traction: Westlake A, Bridgestone B Temperature: Westlake A, Bridgestone B Either Westlake is dishonest in the DOT ratings moulded on the tyre OR Bridgestone makes a lousy OEM tyre. the tyres I bought are good in the wet and handling fantastic wet and dry .the speed rating load caring capacity good construction good good value for money and long life would by and recommend to one and all have had no problems with mine on open roads and city work August 26th 2017 Update: fantastic road tyre bought the set of Westlake tyres on recommendation and also I sold the product when I was in business and there are great handling wearing and performance tyres that I have ever driven on keep up the good work Westlake in future development of product and service on all your products and looking after your service agents here in sth.australia

2000 Chevy Chevy Blazer /winter vehicle
Great tire at a great value.
I have a set of these on my Blazer and am very pleased with them. I live in Northern Mi. They work very good in rain and snow. I have no complaints about noise vibration or wear. They work very good on my vehicle I drive every day. I have 9600 miles on them so far with no problem.
