Toyota Landcruiser Prado.

Happy with these.
These tyres are standard on Toyota Landcruiser Prado. I just completed 57000 km on the original set of tyres and there were still a good 3000km left when I traded up. Never used the Jack once on the vehicle and the spare was brand new. Just rotated the four at services. I can not recall a single event of slip, slide or skid. Only ever had one puncture and got to a tyre centre before it went flat.

Good tyres
Achieved 70000 klm mostly on blacktop and including about 25000 klm towing a 2.5 ton caravan. Could have possibly gone another 10000 klm but with the van prefer to be safe than sorry. Giving Hankok dynapro hp2 a go on the recommendation of my local tyre dealer. Better priced but we will wait and see. Grandtrek very quiet and never gave me any problems with one puncture only.

Worn out at 20000kms
These tyres came on my Prado (2012) from the dealer. At first I thought it was just a problem with dealer servicing - not rotating and balancing tyres properly but I was wrong. These tyres last 20000km before wearing out. I'm now on my second set and at 42000km and having kept pressures correct and wheels balanced, I'm still having to replace again. These tyres are just poor wearing and not worth the money.NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY DUNLUP GRANDTREK AT20'sNow switching to a longer life brand.

Dunlop GRANDTREK AT20
The tyres came fitted with the vehicle. Only done 38,000km. Tyres regularly rotated as per the dealers servicing the vehicle. Got a puncture the other day and was told the tyres need to be replaced. A nasty surprise and I was expecting a lot more mileage of the tyres. Won't buy them again. All metalled km. Hardly been off road (may be 100 to 200kms occasional).

2005 Toyota Prado GXL Petrol Manual

Higher pressure, longer life - with careful driving
These tyres came fitted to my from-new 2005 Prado GXL v6 4 ltr. Early on I had a puncture in one of the tyres due to a tradie dropping screws in my driveway, so had the tyre plugged at a dunlop tyre retailer. The retailer recommended the tyres be inflated under normal load to 42 psi front / 40 psi rear. I achieved just over 100,000km from the first set of tyres which included Fraser Island (sand) and Flinders Rangers (rock) towing a camper trailer. I do rotate the tyres front/rear. Currently on the second set of tyres and just approaching a total of 180,000km and getting ready to replace them. For on-road and off-road (sand/rock) these tyres have been completely fine with no problems - the ride is a touch firm with the tyres at these pressures and I would add that when it comes to cornering and braking, I drive the vehicle like a 4wd, not a sedan, so I tend not to put large amounts of stress on the tread. I'm not someone who drives in mud/deep water, but I'd think these tyres would be largely useless for that purpose

Mediocre tyre poor wet performance
Took delivery of a new GXL diesel Prado Jan 2015, 41536 km later the o/s/r sidewall blew at 60kph. Vehicle never used off road, tyres rotated every 10,000kms tyre pressures checked weekly.Wear down to the tread indicators had been poor on the wet since new, good dry grip, fairly quiet but have started to 'balloon ' as the km's are added. No indication of puncture just side wall failure.Replaced them with Bridgestone Duler LT's, I did 65000kms on these on my LC 100 and 72300 on my Hilux SR5 duel cab. Great all round tyre, particularly on the wet, not the best in soft sand unless you are grave enough to drop the pressures really low as the sculptured tread tends to dig in. Brilliant on rough tracks rocks and water, never had a puncture or failure in over in almost 140,000 kms on two vehicles. Looking forwards to similar wear on the Prado.

Small stick Destroys new tyre :(
Sadly My new Prado has had a stick the size of my little finger destroy the sidewall at the edge of the tread !! Seems like they didn't reinforce that area .Until this happened I was very happy with the ride and feel of the tyre, wet braking was also good

2015 TRITON TRITON TWIN CAB

Reasonable Mileage - Now good mileage.
I have a MN Triton, twin cab, bought new June, 2015. Vehicle originally fitted with Dunlop Grandtrek AT20. I have not rotated the tyres but wear is generally even, so no real point rotating except that I could get a bit more wear from the front tyres by putting them on the back but then I would be putting near smooth tyres on the steer which is not a good idea in my opinion. I have done nearly 31,000 km and I am looking to buy new tyres (a) for safety (b) to avoid the mobile taxation department. I am not sure how long a tyre should last but 31,000 km is a bit poor. I am nearly 70, so I am not a lair. I do some 110 km/hr driving on country sealed roads. I just think that they are poor wearing. Tyres are otherwise good, no punctures appear safe. Update, 5/7/2017 - car dealer rotated the tyres at the last service, so that the front tyres became the back tyres. I have now done approx. 39,000 km, they are still not down to the "wear lumps", so I am now into "satisfied" territory. I will update when I get new tyres and perhaps change my "HEADING" as I like my reviews to be accurate. 5/7/17 - changed heading from POOR MILEAGE to REASONABLE MILEAGE. Anything over 40,000 km is GOOD.5/9/17 now up to 42,000 km and still "legal" - looks like they will get 45,000 km and still be legal. I would buy these tyres again.

Complete Rubbish
I bought a new set of 5 tyres to put on my car for peace of mind when towing my caravan around Australia. A wheel alignment was done when the tyres were fitted. So far I have travelled 32000kms and the tyres are just about due for replacement. They have been rotated every 10,000kms, kept at the right pressure and 99.9% of the work was on bitumen. I've just had the wheels balanced, rotated again and another wheel alignment carried out in the hope of making them last just a little longer. Don't like my chances much.

a tyre that wear outside
3 days out of the showroom and driven my prado for about 500kms and I got a flat tyre. now I made 45ks and it needs replacing. I have driven most on highways and occassional dirt, sand, and rocky stuff- and 45ks is what this thing got. Terrible tyres Thats all I can say. no wonder why they put this piece of turd into a new car to save up some bucks.

Terrible tyres in the wet.
I have a new 2015 Pajero that came with thes tyres. Only done 8000 km so far. They seem fine in the dry. Good grip and not too noisy. But in the wet, the car is sliding everywhere. Ok I live in a hilly windy area, but I have to go super slow to avoid slipping sideways. It actually makes me feel unsafe driving on winding roads in the wet. I have been driving a variety of cars for 35 years now and have never experienced this kind of thing since the days of crossply tyres on the old holders. Next time I'll look for a tyre with better wet weather characteristics.UPDATEThe tyres have done 33,000 now. 3 of the 5 are illegal. Drove from Sydney to Adelaide 2 weeks ago and they were scary on the wet roads. I ordered new tyres in Adelaide but they were not in stock before I left so I returned to Sydney on the originals. Replaced last week in Sydney with Hankook RF10. The new tyres are terrific compared to the Dunlops. Highly recommend the changeover. Unbelievable that Dunlop can sell such awful and dangerous tyres in this day and age.

3 Season Tire
I have had these on my 4Runner for 2 years and can say quite simply they are great in anything other than snow. The tread pattern will not cut through snow or slush, instead just slide and create bad understeer. Great in dry and rain with low noise. Noise increases as tread wear increases. For areas without snow this may be an economical buy.

A Waste Of Time And Money.
2100 kms on a new hilux and got first puncture in Dunlop AT20 Grandtrek. This hilux is only 2 months old and has not any heavy loads, I am very disappointed with this tyres. They have to light of load rating for gravel roads. Don't know why Toyota fit 2nd rate tyres to new cars in rural areas. I will not use Dunlop tyres again.
