Good all rounder, very hard to fault.

Purchased earlier this year to replace my aging Cooper STs on my 1993 Pajero, these tyres have impressed me from the first day of fitment.
On road: Road noise, braking and cornering is impressive for a mud terrain. Whilst these won t compete with an SUV-on road-dedicated tyre from a manufacturer like Pirelli, you ll be pleasantly surprised by their on road behaviour. There is a background hum at higher speeds (>75km/hr) that s nowhere near as loud as other mud terrains such as Baja Claws or Super Swampers.
Off Road: Good on gravel, but where these tyres shine is in mud. Adequate bite from the tread lugs gets you through most stuff, especially when aired down. The tread pattern self cleans well with a bit of wheel speed/wheel spin. Even in thick clay, I m yet to see them clog up. I ve tested these tyres across almost every surface except snow and so far they ve exceeded my expectations.
Price: Compared to tyres of the same size class, these units are considerably cheaper. Market leaders such as Goodyear, Bridgetsone and Michelin offer the same size mud-terrain tyres at almost three times the price.
Overall: These tyres are a good buy for the price, regardless of what type of driving you do. If you re happy to accept minor on-road discrepancies that remind you that you re on mud terrains, the MT601s won t disappoint.
