What battery suits my GWM (Cannon Ute, Haval H6, H6 Hybrid, Jolion, Ora EV, Tank 300, etc.)?
We confirm the exact battery required for your GWM based on the model, year, and engine or EV system. Most modern GWM petrol models use AGM or EFB batteries to support Start/Stop and high electrical demand. GWM hybrids and EVs, including the H6 Hybrid and Ora EV, use a 12-volt auxiliary battery in addition to the high-voltage traction battery.
Can Auto Hero install my GWM battery at home, work, or roadside?
Yes. Our mobile service covers all Sydney suburbs. We can install and replace 12-volt batteries for all GWM models, including Cannon Ute, Haval SUVs, hybrids, and EVs.
Does my GWM require battery registration, coding, or a BMS reset?
Some GWM and Haval models with Start/Stop systems or advanced battery-management features may require or benefit from battery registration or a BMS/ECU initialisation after replacement. Not all models require this. We will confirm based on your specific GWM model and year.
Can you test the charging system to see if it is OK?
Yes. We can test alternator output, voltage stability, and charging behaviour to determine whether a fault caused the battery to drain, for an additional cost. For hybrid and EV GWM models, we also check the DC-DC converter that maintains the 12-volt system.
Do you test the battery before replacing it?
Yes. We can perform a 12-volt battery health check and charging-system test to confirm whether the issue is the battery, alternator, DC-DC converter, or a wiring fault, for an additional cost.
How long does installation take?
Most GWM battery installations take 15–60 minutes depending on the battery location, model design, and whether system initialisation is required.
What warranty do Auto Hero batteries come with?
All batteries include a minimum 24-month warranty. Many premium AGM or EFB options offer up to 3 years for an additional extended-warranty cost.
Can Auto Hero handle complex battery locations in GWM models?
Yes. Some GWM and Haval vehicles have batteries located under covers, in tight engine bays, or within hybrid/EV support modules. Our technicians are trained to safely access and replace them.
