good to start
These tyres were quiet, comfortable and looked good to start off with now they are half worn they are as noisey as muddys only done roughly 40,000km. We're good in the snow when new and ride well on the beach. hankook dynapros have very good reviews for a similar price. 265/70/17

Lethal in the wet
After a year or so the 697s compound hardened and lost grip on bitumen under dew, light or heavy rain regardless of front or rear wheels, light or heavy load. 40klm 4 wheel skids, loss of directional control on roundabouts at low speed. I replaced them with 70% remaining tread.

Awesome, long lasting.
These tyres are great. They are great for road driving, while being extremely grippy for the off road stuff. I can honestly say I've never been stuck using these tyres, and I'm often going on the beach etc They drive well on the road & are very safe in the wet - even when there is nothing in the back end of the ute, I've always got plenty of traction. Quality rubber!

Good reliable tyre good value compared with the C brand.
I live in a rural area with pretty average dirts road before any seal, We have 4 4WD vehicles on the property and run D/D 697's on Ranger and F250 and 694 on the Cruiser, Have had a good run with both and will fit 697's to the Cruiser wagon soon to replace the 694's.The 697's are the 10 ply version and I found them to have very good puncture resistance and wear characteristics.Previously ran Coopers on the L/C wagon , and BF Goodrich on the F250, Coopers stone chipped and are waay too expensive! The BF's wore well and no complaints but exy also!Other vehicles have had Maxxis Bravo? A/Ts - liked them, good wear! and Yokohama Super Digger A/T's did'nt get great wear but were OK.The Ranger tows our 2600kg tandem caravan and we were away for 2 months in WA 7K trip last year from far Northern NSW and the D/D 697's were excellent, no punctures, balance well and good wear, although the rear with the weight wore about 30% more. We're happy to tow on dirt back roads so not Pacific/Hume hway cruisers!I am going to stick with the D/D 697's as they are a round the best tyre we have used. Go the 10 ply!

Very good tyres
Desert Dueller A/T 697 Lt 16inch on Triton MN performed faultlessly 90 000 km combined driving bitumen , dirt road mud, sand on a few trips on Cape York Kakadu Snowies etc.and still reasonable tread on them. Not single puncture, performed in wet weather without any problem and in deeper mud were ok too

excellent tyre if used properly
first set i had was the standard 697- got 60k out of them, second set i got 110k, but were the LT version. firstly read your car tyre placard. If increasing rim size dont go more then 1 size up from manufacture.. ie if car comes on 16inch dont go more than 17inch.all of my driving was done in the northern territory, so mud sand bull dust on so on..about 50/50 split between off road and bitumen. during in and after torrential rains.biggest thing i learned was read car tyre placard and dont exceed manufacturers PSI recommendations. regardless of bridge stones 40psi recomendation. why better grip better handling, never had to air down on sand. my mate had the same tyres running 40psi, stuck every time.great tyre, but like anything you have to learn how to use it to get the full benefit from it

265/70/16R, Decent tyre, not great
Had these on for 30,000kms, have found them to be surprisingly good with the little bit of off-roading I've done, no punctures or major chunks out after decent trips on gravel and stone tracks, even performed better than I expected in the mud for an AT. On the road in the dry they feel nice and secure and I haven't noticed the road noise being overly loud. The big issue I have found with them is they perform terrible on the bitumen in the wet. Living on a mountain driving up or down it once the road sees even some slight dampness is nearly cause for a heart attack.Even accelerating or coming to a roundabouts can be a heart pounding experience and I'm by no means putting my foot to floor.Overall good ATs all round except for in the wet where they will take years off your life-span.

My 2013 Nissan Navara 4x4 Duel Cab came with Bridgestone Dueller A/T 265/70R16 112S 693
I live in a small town in central Queensland. I purchased the new vehicles in October 2013 and have done 43,400 Klm. All original tyres are due to be replaced. I have never rotated the tyres, only ever checking their pressure every few months. Operated between 36 and 40 PSI constantly. I have traveled on roughly graded dirt roads for less than 2,000 klm & 4WD tracks at low speed for less than 500Klm. The remaining kilometers has been on country bitumen. I have never driven hard or done burnouts. I want and expect a tyre to last in excess of 60,000klm. So,I am not happy with running these tyres again. I am presently researching other brands an reviews particularly to gain a better understanding of the type of tyre I should try next. I believe due to the bitumen conditions in Queensland country I should stay with an A/T (All Terrain) tyre with a harder compound. I also only do less than 10% off-road,so I do not need to seek excessive ply in the tread or tyre wall, however, do need to find a strength suitable to handle the rough edges and frequent pot-holes in our major roads. I'm pricing the Maxxis & Coopers A/T 265/70R16's and reading reviews before I make up my mind. Always willing to hear from anyone who have done the kilometers (not interested in those comments about just done 15,000 and think 75% tread left , so expect great thing...Blah Blah Blah...As I also thought that at 15,000 however it has sadly not turned out that way. Anyhow just got a call about Micky Thompson's and will check those out as well. Hopefully my next review will be a positive 80,000Klm + review. The same Bridgestone provider that called me also quoted replacement vale of the Bridgestone Dueller A/T 265/70R16 112S 697 aat $944 per set fitted & balanced. That makes my cost approximately $228.57 per 10,000Klm's. Something to work on.

Good Tyre
Done 50000 km out west and down south from Qld SE. Tyres are 50% worn and now starting to be giggle headed and a bit noisy. I am going to replace the steer tyres with new 697's and keep the ones I take off for drive tyres. This wear is with a caravan and a variety of conditions. I do recommend these tyres for the moderate user. Severe 4 x 4 work would be better with a more aggressive tread. Good grip, low noise whilst newer, fair off roaders.

A Great All-rounder and reasonably priced! Make sure you buy the LT version
These 265/65R17 LT replaced 4 year old Cooper AT3 on the Triton. Straight away you can feel the difference. Noise is almost unnoticeable, grip significantly improved, especially on wet. I no longer have to turn on 4wd mode in rain and the wobbly Triton hardly slip again at T-section take off.Been to beach, bush trails and loosing hill climbs the tyres performs exceptionally. Remains un-scraped on side-sill damaging terrains. I am very pleased I insisted to get a set of LT tyres instead of Passenger version most people did. The LT versions are made tougher and more resistant to puncher/heavy loads for a fraction of more money. Enough say most highly rated reviews on this website are from LT owners and lower ratings from P versions.Haven't been on rock or mud but I don't reckon any A/T will be a lot better on these terrains.Have only traveled few thousand kms so too early to tell the wearing. I would expect some 2-3 years of decent performing tread-wear (about 50k to my average travelling) from any AT tyres. Once they wear over 2/3 of their tread life they may become hard and slippery and the remaining tread-wear becomes meaningless.

poor wet performance
I had very bad driving experience on wet road, fish tailing, cant controll, every one in the car get scared. I had Goodyear Efficient grip SUV tires earlier and they were much better to drive. Never again buy Dueler 697. Not worried about noice if they perform well for a safe drive.

Dueler LT 265 65 17.
These tyres replaced OEM highway pattern Dueler 840s. Original tyres were OK and experienced no issues with them but decided to upgrade to a Light Truck rated tyre to better cope with unsealed roads. We have just completed a 7000 k round trip from Townsville to Alice Spings travelling via the Sandover highway on the way over and return via the Plenty and Donohue Highways. Did Mereenie Loop, Palm Valley and some other 4WD drive tracks and could not be happier with them. I notice some have stated they find road noise to be an issue but I have found them to be no worse than the standard highway tyre with equal to or maybe even an increased levels of on highway grip. The only real downside has been around a 10% increase in fuel consumption which was not unexpected as a LT AT tyre will always have a greater rolling resistance .Would gladly fit the same again as service from the local Bridgestone dealer here in Townsville [Garbutt] has also been excellent as well.

Excellent quality tyre
i had these fitted to my brand new Holden Colorado 7 to get away from the standard highway tread they come with, we've done 1870klms since they've been fitted on combination of highway and off-road environment, I have encountered any tyre noise that others on here speak of nor and bad slippage on the highway work, they make no more noise then the Bridgestone dueller HT that we removed, they perform great on loose gravel and sand, not so great in the mud though but at the end of the day there not mud terrain tyres. I'm starting to think that all the problems others have experienced are more vehicle specific than tyre specific as I can't fault them.

Great Tyre
I have purchased 2 on recommendation from Bridgestone due to extra thick thread and it's doing great mileage so far. I do mostly on road so tyres feel soft against bitumen. I expect some noise from it because it is an off road tyre so no complaints there compared to other off road tyres. It's done about 12,000kms and thread is about 75% left so that's pretty good. The Kluger is a full size suv and we carry our kids and their friends everywhere so it carries a lot of weight around. I have the tyres rotated as part of the vehicle service so it doesn't cost me anything extra. Overall I'm very happy with them and is considering purchasing another 2 as the originals (Dunlop St30) on the rear are getting to the end of their life.
