Excellent! Absolutely the best you can buy.
These tyres replaced factory Continental Contact tyres and the difference was noticeable immediately.
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (235/35/R19) are a considerably more expensive tyre and are top of the price range, but Michelin have developed the perfect tyre and then asked how much does it cost rather than working to a price point.
I knew that my tyres were on their way out, and thanks to a great mechanic I had a long period to research what would be best for my vehicle. It took me over 1 year of research; watching comparison videos over and over again. Primarily we wanted safety (grip) especially in the wet, but we also wanted comfort, low noise, and good wear.
22nd March 2021: These tyres cost $310 each in this size (19") and this seems to be the gateway to the larger performance tyres. The 19" wheels on the Audi S3 are an option, with 18" wheels being the factory standard. At 18" (Pilot Sport 4) the price drops as much as $80 per tyre.
The tyres were fitted and filled with Nitrogen which maintains the pressure better as it doesn't leak as readily as air over time. Over 12 months the tyre pressures had dropped by only 2psi evenly across all 4 tyres.
We are not sure if Nitrogen contributes to the ride quality, but the difference was immediate. Comfortable and swallowed the bumps while not sacrificing grip or performance. From a car that has a notoriously firm ride and suspension it was an improvement of as a much as 50%. Without feeling the ride before you would say that it is very firm, which it is, so it's only us that remember how firm it actually was. You still feel the bumps and seams on most roads, but they are far less jarring.
The grip is exceptional, really exceptional. You can drive it hard into a corner safe in the knowledge that it will stop, it won't slide or lose traction, even when you're feeling a bit brave in the wet.
We've now done about 10,000klms on these tyres and they are showing very little wear so far. Based on this we expect years and years of happy driving on them.
We cannot recommend the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres enough. They have done an exceptional job at developing a tyre that is useful for many performance vehicles like the Audi S3 which is the bottom of the range right through to ultra high performance vehicles like Porsche and Ferrari. They are also recommended for high torque vehicles such as Tesla or any electric vehicles.
11th May 2022: When checking today there is a substantial increase in price to $385 each for the last of in-stock units, and $425 each for units on order. At this price I think that I would have gone with the Eagle F1 SuperSport (235/35/R19 : $275) instead for our vehicle.

Awesome and safe
These are an affordable high performance tyre which can immediately provide extra safety to inexperienced drivers who tend to leave decisions too late or misjudge speed. Wear is adequate but braking & cornering is extra-ordinary & will outpace other try hard making dangerous decisions or for those who tend to tail gate others or leave lane changes too late.

Performance tyre
Decided to pay a bit extra for Michelin tyres as I've always been intrigued as to why they're more expensive than what I normally would spend. So far, am extremely impressed with the grip in wet and dry and the wear looks great so far also. Would highly recommend.

Best grip tyres I've ever driven with on the road
Pushing out 400+kw to the rears, it's been hard to find a tyre to get the power down. I read a lot of reviews on these tyres and they have not disappointed. Will only buy these tyres for the HSV from now on.
