Yes they are a bit noisey, and a bit twitchy in the wet when cornering, but when used to them you adjust to wet conditions. Overall I would recommend them. Just upgraded from a camper trailer to off road van, and we will put these on the van.

After weeks of research on my better half's part, we finally settled on the Cooper A/T3s and couldn't be happier. Majority of our driving is highway, but they get a good bash in the bush and sand almost every weekend and have never let us down.
We've just had our third rotation done and the wear is minimal and evenly distributed. Have to admit, we were a bit hesitant about Cooper's requiring a rotation every 10000km to uphold their 80000km warranty, but so far, so good!
We would definitely buy these again and are looking to throw them on our second ute as well. Brilliant tyres!

These AT3's are the noisiest Cooper tyres I have bought. The side walls appear to be very stiff giving a very harsh ride and noisy especially when travelling over bridge expansion joints and other joints in the road. A nine year old female relative has commented on the noise and harshness of the ride on the Cooper AT3's. Her parents also own a Prado on an other make of off road tyres.

Even a 9 year old passenger has commented on the roughness of the ride. Her family has a Prado as a family vehicle too on other off road style tyres. The At3,s are wearing very well.

First impression of this tyre was it looks great, from it s deep and strong tread pattern to having the option of having the white lettering facing in or out. Coming from recently buying cheaper tyres to only lose confidence in them, from the moment you touch the tyre you can feel that it s made differently than the cheaper knock offs which gives more confidence from the start. On the road they are great but some may find them noisy especially if you typically come from a highway tyre and change to an all terrain. They feel solid in the corners and under braking which is always a good thing. I find they don t track at speed unlike my last cheap A/Ts which again is a good thing. The price was up around the $300/tyre mark which isn t cheap considering the array of tyres to pick from, however I do believe that you get what you pay for. They do come with an 80000km warranty which is helpful and with the armor tek sidewalls should last that with normal driving and tyre care.

I purchased a set of AT3 265/60/R18 for my 2008 Mitsuibishi Pajero approximately June 2012. On a trip to the Simpson desert I suffered two punctures rendering both tyres unusable. The first was ripped open on an unmade road. The second tyres steel belts broke. Cooper Tyres Australia accepted liability for the second problem and replaced the tyre. I am now in North Qld and have suffered another tyres steel belt snapping causing a puncture and having to be replaced. This time the Coopers rep. claimed because the tyre were not purchased through one of their agents then their was no liability protection for the manufacturers faulty tyres. I could chase Coopers America if I wanted to take the matter further. This was a complete reversal of their previous position.My experience with Cooper Tyres has not matched the rhetoric in their advertising. Nether in number of kms you could reasonably be expected and the poor standard of manufacture.I cannot recommend these tyres to anybody.

Tyre at my local dealership. Rang my tyre dealer in ballarat and was told to take it to Cooper tyre dealer in QLD. Told it had a hole in it but it spiked the Internal casing. Puncture was in middle of tread. Returned tyre to supplying dealer to have s look at who confirmed hole through tread but casing internally was damaged. Main concern no feedback from Coopers regarding a $300 tyre. Hope the other tyres don't get punctures for the next 76000 kms

Not one puncture in all that play, and that differs remarkably from other brands used. This was the most important factor for me; if you ve had to change a tyre in the heat out there you know what I mean. A great bonus is there s still a lot of life left in them yet. Highly recommend!

No loss in traction on road - wet or dry, road noise isn't too bad even with windows down imo and I've had zero issues in the soft sand of Bribie Island's inland track. On bush tracks I think they have proven their worth too over sharpish rocks and tree roots etc without puncture. Will def buy them again next round!

Not the normal 4x4 driver anymore, my Colorado 4X4 diesel ute is 95% of the time on the highway between Newcastle and Singleton. My ute is stock standard, no modifications and is not loaded. A basic commuter for most of its life, with the occasional Camping trip towing a fully loaded trailer. This set of tyres have got me just over 115000klm. They have been great and get rotated about every 25000klm. Never lost any pressure and held up well. They still have about 4mm of tread left on them but are getting slippery in the wet, so new ones have been ordered. Comparing to a standard road tyre my preference is to pay a little more for the AT/3 which gives better sidewall and long life over the creature comforts of the road tyre (less noise and a bit smoother). I bought a Ute not a car so I should expect this noise and handling. Reliable yes indeed, peace of mind tick. these all help when you rack up many klm each year and dodge the wildlife.

I have had four Toyota four wheel drive vehicles, the latest is a Prado GXL, now almost seven years old. I couldn t even guess how many sets of tyres I ve purchased, not only for my 4WD s but many cars I owned back in England. My current Prado is a 2010 model but it wore out the set it came with in 2013, which I thought was bad, given that I average less than 10,000 km per year. So, I bought what I d always wanted a set of Coopers A/T3 s heavy duty. I d read good reports and bad ones, as always happens, so gave them a go. I do mostly on road but with my son owning a country property, I do some grass and mud driving, usually pulling a two ton (max GVW, including load). I often go there to haul logs from downed gum trees. The other task it carried out was hauling sandstone from a local quarry. The approach road, which is dirt (mud) is on a steep incline, but up, empty and down fully loaded the Cooper s kept us on a straight steady line, although the first time was daunting. These Cooper s are the very best tyres I ve ever owned. I had a set of Bridgestone with the car purchase and doing the same work the car got bogged on a couple of occasions, which cost me heaps for recovery. We bought these for 18" wheels on WK Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have no problems with how they perform, as a full time 4wd doesn't really have much traction issues. I also had no problem ploughing through the sand on Fraser Island during a very dry period. The problem is longevity. We have had these tyres for about 40000kms and now need to replace them. I fell for their marketing campaign about longevity, but next I will get just get advice from tyre fitters, and ignore brand names. Summary - not worth their premium price.

I had these put on my 2005 Range Rover a while back. At first, they weren't bad, but nothing to rave about. After approx 40-60% of the tread wore! it was as if the tire changed compounds. It was that slippery that I couldn't go around a wet roundabout without sending the electronic program's into turmoil. Also, the ride went rubbish, steering was like a wet dog that had just been run over, road noise was significant, and engine vibrations were increased. After changing to Yokohama Geolanders, the car is much smoother, quieter and nicer to drive. Not to mention safer. The yokahama at/s is much better!

I put 4 x Cooper A/T3 light duty on my Suzuki Grand Vitara 2 years ago. After 60,000km the tyres still have heaps of tread left. The original 5 Bridgestones struggled to last 37000km. I do rotate often and keep a close eye on pressures but the car has never had a wheel alignment done. I have not noticed any decrease in performance as the tyres have worn. They have performed perfectly in all conditions but it is the grip on road in heavy rain and on wet dirt roads that has impressed me the most. The Coopers are a little noisy when new but they are an AT tyre so that is expected. As they have worn the noise has decreased. On road, sand, dirt or off road, the tyres have been perfect. I often tow a 1200kg camper so rear tyres are at 40psi and fronts at 32psi and these pressures seem to work best. Will I buy them again? YES, but next time I will buy 5 instead of just 4.

I went around a roundabout yesterday in heavy rain and I could feel them start to give way. I was shocked especially as it has still alot of tread. I wasn't even trying to push them.The other negative is despite rotating them often, they still have a slight howl to them which gets a tad annoying long distance.

I originally bought my A/T3's for my 2006 Holden Adventra LX6, but swapped them over to my current car after 5000kms. They have now done around 35,000kms with next to no visible wear, at this distance on the original Bridgestones I would be buying a new set. The A/T3's hold on very well on the bitumen, wet or dry, and there is very little noise from the tyres. Off-road is where these tyres really shine making the AWD Adventra much more capable than most people would give them credit for. Gripes - so far none other than the limited places to buy them, I'm guessing by having them only available through Tyrepower enables them to be kept artificially high, especially when comparing them to other brands. When these tyres wear out I will then decide whether I will stick with them, but so far they've been great.Adventra and AWD Holden Group - join us on FaceBook!

Only ever look for light truck variants, the others are passenger vehicle tyres and not built as strong and also you can see in the specs the tread depth is much deeper on an LT. Second set are LT's and currently at 95,000k's with probably 15% left on them. Been all through the outback on major trips and never had a puncture. One drive from Longreach to Alice via the plenty highway I was the only 4WD out of 11 to not get a puncture.

I bought Cooper AT3 225/75R16 for Jeep XJ Cherokee 3 years ago based on good experience with the Cooper AT (265/70R15) having done 86000 trouble free km on mud sand and on road over period of 5 years on a previous vehicle. Presumed AT3 would be a better tyre from specifications. AT3 must be made by different company. At about 20000 km all 5 (yes 5 - I use 5 wheel rotation pattern every max 10.000 km) tyres became out of round with a flat spot about 300mm long and for the width of the tread. Cooper dealer stated that all 5 of my Jeep alloy rims are out of round? 2 tyres are wearing faster than the other three. Having persisted with this to the current 50,000 km, the vibration in the vehicle can no longer be balanced out. The only way to ignore the "woop woop woop" is to turn up the music and hope the road surface remains rough bitumen. Smooth tar, i.e. freeways, exaggerate the "woopy shakes". Fact not fiction. Cooper you've lost a customer here. This owner of many vehicles with tyre sizes ranging from 155R12 (Datsun 1200) to 11R22.5 (12 metre luxury touring coach with dual tag axle - 10 tyres on road) has never had such a woeful experience with a manufacturer or dealer!

The grip has been good in rough stuff but my biggest complaint is the very high noise levels, this sounds as if all the wheel bearings have gone at once.They are about half worn now and getting worse by the day. I won't fit them again.

I have traditionally never managed to get a particularly good milage out of tyres because I do throw my cars around. I used to drive MG and Lotus cars when i was a young man.I cannot praise these tyres enough. They have raised my expectations of tyres and I am fully expecting to purchase them again when the factory tyres on my new cruiser wear out in a month or two.If i had one gripe it would be that they did have a tendency to aquaplane, although this could have been that fact they were fitted to my previous car a Hilux Duel Cab 4x4 and they are quite light.They have quite good capability on soft ground, not fantastic on black soil, but what tyres are.. Nice and comfortable on the highway and great on concrete carparks. They operate as advertised and last forever.

Yes they are a bit noisey, and a bit twitchy in the wet when cornering, but when used to them you adjust to wet conditions. Overall I would recommend them. Just upgraded from a camper trailer to off road van, and we will put these on the van.

After weeks of research on my better half's part, we finally settled on the Cooper A/T3s and couldn't be happier. Majority of our driving is highway, but they get a good bash in the bush and sand almost every weekend and have never let us down.
We've just had our third rotation done and the wear is minimal and evenly distributed. Have to admit, we were a bit hesitant about Cooper's requiring a rotation every 10000km to uphold their 80000km warranty, but so far, so good!
We would definitely buy these again and are looking to throw them on our second ute as well. Brilliant tyres!

I have previously purchased Cooper tyres and have been very pleased with them, obtaining over 145,000 km of wear. The AT3 were promoted as being the latest technology and quiet running. These AT3's are the noisiest Cooper tyres I have bought. The side walls appear to be very stiff giving a very harsh ride and noisy especially when travelling over bridge expansion joints and other joints in the road. A nine year old female relative has commented on the noise and harshness of the ride on the Cooper AT3's. Her parents also own a Prado on an other make of off road tyres.

The AT3,s are not as quiet as as I was lead to believe, they are the noisiest Cooper tyres I have bought. Also, the side walls appear to be very tough which give a rather harsh ride. Even a 9 year old passenger has commented on the roughness of the ride. Her family has a Prado as a family vehicle too on other off road style tyres. The At3,s are wearing very well.

First impression of this tyre was it looks great, from it s deep and strong tread pattern to having the option of having the white lettering facing in or out. Coming from recently buying cheaper tyres to only lose confidence in them, from the moment you touch the tyre you can feel that it s made differently than the cheaper knock offs which gives more confidence from the start. On the road they are great but some may find them noisy especially if you typically come from a highway tyre and change to an all terrain. They feel solid in the corners and under braking which is always a good thing. I find they don t track at speed unlike my last cheap A/Ts which again is a good thing. The price was up around the $300/tyre mark which isn t cheap considering the array of tyres to pick from, however I do believe that you get what you pay for. They do come with an 80000km warranty which is helpful and with the armor tek sidewalls should last that with normal driving and tyre care.

I purchased a set of AT3 265/60/R18 for my 2008 Mitsuibishi Pajero approximately June 2012. On a trip to the Simpson desert I suffered two punctures rendering both tyres unusable. The first was ripped open on an unmade road. The second tyres steel belts broke. Cooper Tyres Australia accepted liability for the second problem and replaced the tyre. I am now in North Qld and have suffered another tyres steel belt snapping causing a puncture and having to be replaced. This time the Coopers rep. claimed because the tyre were not purchased through one of their agents then their was no liability protection for the manufacturers faulty tyres. I could chase Coopers America if I wanted to take the matter further. This was a complete reversal of their previous position.My experience with Cooper Tyres has not matched the rhetoric in their advertising. Nether in number of kms you could reasonably be expected and the poor standard of manufacture.I cannot recommend these tyres to anybody.

Tyre at my local dealership. Rang my tyre dealer in ballarat and was told to take it to Cooper tyre dealer in QLD. Told it had a hole in it but it spiked the Internal casing. Puncture was in middle of tread. Returned tyre to supplying dealer to have s look at who confirmed hole through tread but casing internally was damaged. Main concern no feedback from Coopers regarding a $300 tyre. Hope the other tyres don't get punctures for the next 76000 kms

Not one puncture in all that play, and that differs remarkably from other brands used. This was the most important factor for me; if you ve had to change a tyre in the heat out there you know what I mean. A great bonus is there s still a lot of life left in them yet. Highly recommend!

No loss in traction on road - wet or dry, road noise isn't too bad even with windows down imo and I've had zero issues in the soft sand of Bribie Island's inland track. On bush tracks I think they have proven their worth too over sharpish rocks and tree roots etc without puncture. Will def buy them again next round!

Not the normal 4x4 driver anymore, my Colorado 4X4 diesel ute is 95% of the time on the highway between Newcastle and Singleton. My ute is stock standard, no modifications and is not loaded. A basic commuter for most of its life, with the occasional Camping trip towing a fully loaded trailer. This set of tyres have got me just over 115000klm. They have been great and get rotated about every 25000klm. Never lost any pressure and held up well. They still have about 4mm of tread left on them but are getting slippery in the wet, so new ones have been ordered. Comparing to a standard road tyre my preference is to pay a little more for the AT/3 which gives better sidewall and long life over the creature comforts of the road tyre (less noise and a bit smoother). I bought a Ute not a car so I should expect this noise and handling. Reliable yes indeed, peace of mind tick. these all help when you rack up many klm each year and dodge the wildlife.

I have had four Toyota four wheel drive vehicles, the latest is a Prado GXL, now almost seven years old. I couldn t even guess how many sets of tyres I ve purchased, not only for my 4WD s but many cars I owned back in England. My current Prado is a 2010 model but it wore out the set it came with in 2013, which I thought was bad, given that I average less than 10,000 km per year. So, I bought what I d always wanted a set of Coopers A/T3 s heavy duty. I d read good reports and bad ones, as always happens, so gave them a go. I do mostly on road but with my son owning a country property, I do some grass and mud driving, usually pulling a two ton (max GVW, including load). I often go there to haul logs from downed gum trees. The other task it carried out was hauling sandstone from a local quarry. The approach road, which is dirt (mud) is on a steep incline, but up, empty and down fully loaded the Cooper s kept us on a straight steady line, although the first time was daunting. These Cooper s are the very best tyres I ve ever owned. I had a set of Bridgestone with the car purchase and doing the same work the car got bogged on a couple of occasions, which cost me heaps for recovery. I ve been in the same place, same time of the year, in similar conditions and Cooper s didn t falter. I ve become progressively confident that Cooper s will not let me down. What more can I say, except that the tyre depth is still about what it was new, on 14/11/2013

I also had no problem ploughing through the sand on Fraser Island during a very dry period. The problem is longevity. We have had these tyres for about 40000kms and now need to replace them. I fell for their marketing campaign about longevity, but next I will get just get advice from tyre fitters, and ignore brand names. Summary - not worth their premium price.

I had these put on my 2005 Range Rover a while back. At first, they weren't bad, but nothing to rave about. After approx 40-60% of the tread wore! it was as if the tire changed compounds. It was that slippery that I couldn't go around a wet roundabout without sending the electronic program's into turmoil. Also, the ride went rubbish, steering was like a wet dog that had just been run over, road noise was significant, and engine vibrations were increased. After changing to Yokohama Geolanders, the car is much smoother, quieter and nicer to drive. Not to mention safer. The yokahama at/s is much better!

I put 4 x Cooper A/T3 light duty on my Suzuki Grand Vitara 2 years ago. After 60,000km the tyres still have heaps of tread left. The original 5 Bridgestones struggled to last 37000km. I do rotate often and keep a close eye on pressures but the car has never had a wheel alignment done. I have not noticed any decrease in performance as the tyres have worn. They have performed perfectly in all conditions but it is the grip on road in heavy rain and on wet dirt roads that has impressed me the most. The Coopers are a little noisy when new but they are an AT tyre so that is expected. As they have worn the noise has decreased. On road, sand, dirt or off road, the tyres have been perfect. I often tow a 1200kg camper so rear tyres are at 40psi and fronts at 32psi and these pressures seem to work best. Will I buy them again? YES, but next time I will buy 5 instead of just 4.

I went around a roundabout yesterday in heavy rain and I could feel them start to give way. I was shocked especially as it has still alot of tread. I wasn't even trying to push them.The other negative is despite rotating them often, they still have a slight howl to them which gets a tad annoying long distance.

I originally bought my A/T3's for my 2006 Holden Adventra LX6, but swapped them over to my current car after 5000kms. They have now done around 35,000kms with next to no visible wear, at this distance on the original Bridgestones I would be buying a new set. The A/T3's hold on very well on the bitumen, wet or dry, and there is very little noise from the tyres. Off-road is where these tyres really shine making the AWD Adventra much more capable than most people would give them credit for. Gripes - so far none other than the limited places to buy them, I'm guessing by having them only available through Tyrepower enables them to be kept artificially high, especially when comparing them to other brands. When these tyres wear out I will then decide whether I will stick with them, but so far they've been great.Adventra and AWD Holden Group - join us on FaceBook!

I have now done 69669 klms the 27/10/14, on this set of coopers and they are just under half tread. this is even better than the previous set, I am looking to get at least 120000 ks which to my mind make this the best tyre my money can buy.

Only ever look for light truck variants, the others are passenger vehicle tyres and not built as strong and also you can see in the specs the tread depth is much deeper on an LT. Second set are LT's and currently at 95,000k's with probably 15% left on them. Been all through the outback on major trips and never had a puncture. One drive from Longreach to Alice via the plenty highway I was the only 4WD out of 11 to not get a puncture.

I bought Cooper AT3 225/75R16 for Jeep XJ Cherokee 3 years ago based on good experience with the Cooper AT (265/70R15) having done 86000 trouble free km on mud sand and on road over period of 5 years on a previous vehicle. Presumed AT3 would be a better tyre from specifications. AT3 must be made by different company. At about 20000 km all 5 (yes 5 - I use 5 wheel rotation pattern every max 10.000 km) tyres became out of round with a flat spot about 300mm long and for the width of the tread. Cooper dealer stated that all 5 of my Jeep alloy rims are out of round? 2 tyres are wearing faster than the other three. Having persisted with this to the current 50,000 km, the vibration in the vehicle can no longer be balanced out. The only way to ignore the "woop woop woop" is to turn up the music and hope the road surface remains rough bitumen. Smooth tar, i.e. freeways, exaggerate the "woopy shakes". Fact not fiction. Cooper you've lost a customer here. This owner of many vehicles with tyre sizes ranging from 155R12 (Datsun 1200) to 11R22.5 (12 metre luxury touring coach with dual tag axle - 10 tyres on road) has never had such a woeful experience with a manufacturer or dealer!

The grip has been good in rough stuff but my biggest complaint is the very high noise levels, this sounds as if all the wheel bearings have gone at once.They are about half worn now and getting worse by the day. I have traditionally never managed to get a particularly good milage out of tyres because I do throw my cars around. I used to drive MG and Lotus cars when i was a young man.I cannot praise these tyres enough. They have raised my expectations of tyres and I am fully expecting to purchase them again when the factory tyres on my new cruiser wear out in a month or two.If i had one gripe it would be that they did have a tendency to aquaplane, although this could have been that fact they were fitted to my previous car a Hilux Duel Cab 4x4 and they are quite light.They have quite good capability on soft ground, not fantastic on black soil, but what tyres are.. Nice and comfortable on the highway and great on concrete carparks. They operate as advertised and last forever.
